Our Favorite Mechanic Creators on YouTube

YouTube is a great advertising tool to build brand awareness for your business. That’s why it’s part of a good marketing toolbox! It can also be an intimidating space for some auto repair shops to break into. Does that sound like you? We encourage all of our shops to be confident with their brands and pursue their video dreams if they want to! Here are some ideas from some of our favorite mechanic creators on YouTube!

1. Brian Bowersock, West Automotive Group

Known as, “The Auto Man,” Brian Bowersock from West Automotive Group in California shares detailed, informational videos that help drivers and new mechanics understand vehicles better. His practical recommendations prove that he always has the best interest of their customers close in mind. He answers the kinds of questions that tons of drivers have with in-depth explanations.

2. Jay Huh, Carmedix

Car buffs and casual drivers alike should check out Jay from Carmedix in North Carolina. He’s not afraid to roll up his sleeves and go under the hood to show viewers common vehicle problems. The Carmedix YouTube channel also has great videos that make it clear why they’re the best choice for drivers in their area!

3. Jamey Whitlock, THOR Off Road

THOR Off Road specializes in aftermarket accessories and performance upgrades for trucks and SUVs in Texas. To show off their best suspension kits, wheels, bed covers, lights, and more, they share informational videos and walkthroughs. We love to see Jamey from THOR Off Road sharing about what he loves and showing customers what they can do with their trucks!

4. Danny Sanchez, Autoshop Solutions

We couldn’t complete our list of our favorite mechanic creators without sharing our very own Danny Sanchez! As a former shop owner, Danny knows what it takes to achieve success and shares plenty of helpful insight on the Autoshop Solutions channel. Check it out today!

4 Tips to Start Posting Videos

Want to start making your own videos? They’re great to share on your shop’s Facebook page, website, and in ads. For truly post-worthy content, follow these key tips:

  1. Videos should be 15-30 seconds long.
  2. Capture videos horizontally for a wide shot, not vertical.
  3. Introduce yourself!
  4. Speak clearly and use a microphone (a bluetooth headphone works!)

YouTube videos can help you build brand awareness, plus great videos can be used on your website, social media, and in ads. It’s a win all the way around!
