Should I Target All My Services with Google Ads?

Autoshop Academy, Google Ads, Pay-Per-Click

How many services should I target with Google Ads?

Can I advertise all my services?

We do not recommend having ads for all of your services. I know this sounds counterintuitive, but trust me. If your shop needs additional business, advertising every service doesn’t create more business. Hyper-focusing your campaigns will lead to more bang for your buck.

The best way I have found to explain this is with an analogy, so let’s start there. Imagine you are in a pie-eating contest with all of your competing shops. In this pie-eating contest, your goal is to gather and eat as much of the best pie as possible.

Every pie in this room has a different flavor. The point is to capture as much as possible of the best pie. If you are cutting slices of every single pie, you are wasting time and money when you could instead gather a whole pie of your favorite flavor.

This is similar to trying to bid on every service you offer. In that case, you will spread your budget too thin when you could be spending more money on fewer more profitable services, (or pies). Bidding on fewer services will result in more profits for your company and more people coming in for those services. This is why we always recommend starting with fewer services and expanding from there.
