If you’ve seen recent headlines about a critical PHP vulnerability, we want you to hear it from us directly: Autoshop Solutions is aware of the issue, our infrastructure has already been updated, and your website is protected.
What happened?
On October 21, 2026, the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) urged organizations to immediately patch two critical vulnerabilities in PHP, CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619. Together they’re known as “php2shell.”
PHP is the programming language behind approximately 70% of the internet, including many of the tools and platforms businesses rely on every day. These vulnerabilities could allow an attacker to run malicious code on a server remotely, without needing to log in. That’s why CISA and the broader security community are treating this as a high priority. As of CISA’s announcement, no active exploitation had been observed, but unpatched systems are at risk.
What we did about it
Our team moved quickly. Shortly after the official PHP patches were released, our infrastructure was updated, and we were fully protected as of 10:40 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21. Our environment was also well positioned going into this announcement, so we were able to act swiftly rather than scramble.
Keeping your site secure, stable, and up to date is a core part of what we do. When a vulnerability like this surfaces, our teams are already watching, ready to respond, and focused on keeping your business protected.
We’ve reviewed our systems, and nothing was compromised
Patching is only part of our response. Following the disclosure, our team also reviewed our systems and access to confirm that nothing was affected. That included checking for the kind of suspicious activity CISA advised organizations to watch for, such as unexpected processes or unauthorized access.
The result: we found no evidence of compromise. Your site, your data, and our systems were not affected by this vulnerability.
What this means for you
- No action is needed on your part. Our infrastructure is patched and protected.
- Your site remains up and running as normal.
- We’re continuing to monitor the situation. If anything changes or new guidance emerges, we’ll act on it and keep you informed.
Why this matters
Vulnerabilities like php2shell are a good reminder of why proactive maintenance and security matter. Many organizations are now working to inventory their systems and apply patches. Because we manage this for you, you can stay focused on running your business.
